Women of Nepal

“One goes to Nepal for its mountains… and returns for its people”. That’s what my guide told me. I didn’t believe him.

But then, as I began editing the 2.000+ photos from my trip, I realised something: it wasn’t the landscape, the temples or the silhouette of the Annapurnas that moved me the most.

My favourite images were of people. And above all, of women.

The girl who wanted to play with us. The group that invited us to a wedding. The woman in Ulleri who was making momos…

If I ever go back to Nepal, it won’t be for the mountains.

It will be to meet these women again.
